If box 14 on my 1099R is empty does that mean it is non taxable to the State?
Box 14 for the state distribution amount on my 1099R is empty. Does that mean the taxable amount to the State of AL is -0-?

Retirement tax questions
No, TurboTax will use the Federal amount and transfer it. If Box 14 is blank on Form 1099-R, leave it blank in TurboTax (don't enter anything, not even a zero).
If you later see a question about this from TurboTax, enter the amount from Box 1 in the space for Box 14. Normally you shouldn't need to do this. Some States, however, tax 1099R's different than other depending on what type they are (for example military retirement, public pension, etc).
