Retirement tax questions

If this is your only source of income, no, you will not need to file.  Your NYSLRS income is nontaxable, and SSDI income can only be taxable if there is other taxable income to report.  But if there is no other taxable income being reported, SSDI by itself will not be taxable to the IRS nor to NY.
