1099-R option (for life insurance payout) missing from "Retirement Plans and Social Security".
https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/3615033-where-would-i-enter-a-life-insurance-policy-that-was-cashe... gives instructions on how to deal with this, but the option for a 1099-R is missing. The only thing under "Retirement Plans and Social Security" is "Canadian Registered Pension Income".

No maple leaf. I started at turbotax.com. All the other questions pertain to US tax law (W-2, 1099-INT, etc.)

Retirement tax questions
You got me. I have no idea how categories can be missing from the interview.
Try "Tax Tools -> Tools > Topic Search and search for "1099-r" and see if it comes up.
I can only suggest calling customer support hand have them look at it.
Here is a TurboTax FAQ for contacting customer support.

Searching for 1099-R in the search box worked . Sorry I didn't respond earlier. My account got temporarily suspended for possible ToS violation (because of the link, maybe?). Thanks.

Online it's the top choice.
Or use the "search topics" box for 1099-R.

Using search topics for 1099-R allowed me to enter the data. After that, "IRA, 401(k)..." started showing up on the main screen.
