You will need to amend you return. To amend your return will need to be accepted by the IRS. Once it accepts, you need to wait until 02/24 to amend your return because the form 1040X amendment form will not be available until then. To amend.
- Sign in to TurboTax.
- Scroll down to under Your tax returns & documents,
- Select Amend (change) 2021 return,
- Then Start amending my 2021 return.
- Then, select the reason you’re amending and follow the onscreen instructions.
