Why is there no special form for social security?

is there a place to show where medicare premiums were deducted?

Retirement tax questions

Go to Federal> Wages & Income>>Retirement Plans and Social Security  (SSA1099 and 1099RRB) to enter your SSA1099.

You will be asked to enter the amount you paid for Medicare.

Yes, when you enter the SSA-1099 there is a box for medicare premiums.  It will then go to schedule A if you have enough deductions to itemize.

This is from 2019 but should the same.  Are you entering  your social security on this screen?
