Required RMD reporting in 2020
My uncle has two retirement plans. He took the full RMD in one account but did not take any RMD in the other account in 2020 due to the CARES act. The question in TurboTax is 'If you didn't take the full RMD, we'll help you request a waiver of the tax. Select one of the following: 1) He received all the RMD for 2020. 2) He did not receive all the RMD for 2020. 3) He was not required to take an RMD for 2020. '
Which is the correct answer? 2 OR 3? Due to the CARES act, I would say 3.

Retirement tax questions
Say #3. Actually since he took the RMD on this 1099R it doesn't matter if you answer #1 or #3. It was the RMD. You don't have a 1099R for the other one.

Retirement tax questions
Correct. He did not receive a 1099R for the one he took no RMDs out of.
