Retirement tax questions
In a joint return, the order in which the spouses appear on the return has no effect whatsoever on the tax calculations.
Keep in mind that the IRS prefers consistency in the spouse naming order of joint filers from year to year. Changing the order is allowed but it could result in processing delays of your tax return.
