When will I get my 1099-g form if my paid family leave is Dec 2020 but filed the claim Jan 2021?
My son was born Dec 2020 and I filed the claim to EDD on Jan 21 and got the paycheck two weeks later. I haven't got 1099-g yet. Should I do the tax in 2021 or 2022

Retirement tax questions
If you received the PFL payment in 2021, you will get a 2021 Form 1099-G next year and report the payments next year, on your 2021 tax return.
Individual taxpayers are "cash-basis" taxpayers which means they are taxed on their income in the year they receive it.
