Is this a bug? In Section: Other Deductions and Credits Item: Alimony Paid: Entering a social security number with a leading zero fails. The form drops the leading zero.

The form then reports an invalid SS number.

After the most recent update on the morning of 30 January 2021, the issue is NOT solved in TurboTax  Premier desktop.

I agree. I keep getting emails that it is resolved, but it isn't.

When an issue is fixed by TurboTax, your browser will often retain the old data.  To resolve this use the Chrome browser 

 

  1. Go to the three dots at top right and click settings
  2. Privacy and security
  3. Clear browsing data for all time. 
  4. Sign back into TurboTax and the issue should be resolved.

This is a TTD problem and not TTO so the browser doesn't come into play.
