You are able to preview the 1040 to see if the capital gains were included. 

To preview the 1040 in the Online versions:

Sign into your account and your return. Click  “Take me to my return” and “Pick up where I left off”

Click “Tax Tools” on bottom of the left side-bar

Click “Tools” from the drop-down list

 Click “View Tax Summary” on the Tools Center screen

Click “Preview my 1040” which now appears on the left side-bar

Click “Back” on the left side-bar to escape
