I entered A and D capital sales on Form 1099-B worksheet, and only one 8949 was created. The return was just e-filed and accepted within the last 30 minutes.
I entered capital sales in A and D categories on the 1099-B worksheet. The entries show up on Sch D correctly, and on the 1040, but only one 8949 was created - for A type sales.
The tax return was just accepted.

Yes, if D sales were covered stock sales, they would not appear on Form 8949.
Form 8949 is to report capital gains for which you had to adjust the cost basis from Form 1099-B.
