The beginning balance on 1/1/2022 was $0. Later on I used the HELOC to pay for some repairs while awaiting my IRA RMD. When I got the RMD, I paid the HELOC down again - so, the remaining principal on both 1/1/2022 & 12/31/202 was $0.
