Generally, AAUW national membership dues, of $49, are deductible as follows:

  • $46 is tax deductible as a charitable contribution, and $3 not deductible because it supports the AAUW Action Funds Section 501(c )(4) Lobby Corps and get-out-thevote activities.
  • Student Affiliate dues are $17, $16 is tax deductible, $1 is not deductible.
  • AAUW National Life Membership is $980 fully tax deductible.
  • Note: Branch/state portions of dues are not tax deductible unless your branch/state is classified under the Section 501(c)(3) status directly with the Internal Revenue Service.
