I made less then $2000 as self employed, should I file taxes?

Yes.  Income from self employment is subject to social security and medicare tax beginning at $400 of net profit.  It's important to file your return to take advantage of any credits you may be entitled to as well.

TurboTax will walk you through the process.  If you have expenses that were ordinary and necessary for you to earn this income you will need to use the TurboTax Self Employed Edition, if not you will be able to use TurboTax Deluxe version.
