Why wasn't Hurricane Nate listed as a natural disaster option? It hit the MS Gulf Coast in Oct 2017. It was declared a federal disaster area in November 2017.

When entering personal info for 2017, one of the questions listed was did I live in a federal disaster area in 2017.  The answer was yes, I did, but the natural disaster, Hurricane Nate, was not one of the available hurricanes to choose from.  The only hurricanes listed were Harvey, Irma, and Maria.  Why wasn't Nate listed and can I still get tax relief from it?

Deductions & credits

No, the IRS has not issued tax relief for taxpayers impacted by Hurricane Nate.

You are still eligible for the normal casualty loss deductions on Schedule A of itemized deductions.
