The categories are not required by the IRS, just a total number for all medical expenses (copays, etc) and a total number for health insurance premiums.
However, in TurboTax, you can track your expenses by using some or all of the categories below:
- Co-pays on prescription, cost of pharmaceuticals
- Doctor co-pays/surgical procedures
- Dental expenses
- Vision/eyeglass and other medical supplies
- All other services/supplies required by a doctor.
