Yes, the mortgage insurance premium is now deductible on your federal return. The IRS recently began accepting taxpayer returns deduction for mortgage insurance premiums on a primary residence.
Navigate to the Your Home section to include your mortgage insurance premiums reported in Box 5 of your 1098 form.
Note: Not all of the state products have been updated at this time; many of the changes require guidance from the states and those updates will be made once guidance is received from the affected states.
