Just discovered that past year deductions for home office were based on monthly amounts, not yearly.... Can I re-submit amount for past years?

Deductions & credits

Yes. You can amend your prior year returns to include the yearly amounts for your home office deduction. Generally, it's no longer possible to claim a tax year 2013 or earlier refund, as the 3-year statute of limitations has expired. However, you can still paper-file your return so that it's "on file" with the IRS and/or state tax department.

The FAQ below contains instructions on how to prepare an amended tax return using TurboTax. All federal amended tax returns (Form 1040X) must be printed and mailed to be filed. Most state tax returns need to be printed and paper filed as well.
