Please see the steps below to enter your expenses in TurboTax Online.
- Select the Federal Taxes tab
- Scroll down to Self Employment Income and Expenses and click Review (this assumes that you have already entered your self-employed income)
- Click Review again next to the specific self-employed activity and proceed through the interview until you reach the screen that says: What kind of expenses did you have for ______?
- Check the box that says Vehicle and continue through the other expense checkboxes. Click Continue.
- On the screen that says Here’s your ______ info, scroll to Expenses, and click Start/Continue/Edit next to Vehicle.
- Proceed through the interview until you get to the mileage section.
