I inherited a home in Sept 2015, sold in Sept 2016. We never occupied this home and it was never a rental. Can I claim my receipts for repairs, etc. When I selected an inheritance home it did not give me the option to claim any repairs.
You should have an option for Selling Expenses and can add it there as they were costs to prepare the home for sale. If not, you can adjust the basis (Fair Market Value at time of inheritance).
