I am filing a 2015 return and trying to determine when to claim my 2014 refund from my local state. the catch is I was late filing 2014 so the refund didn’t occur in 2015, but in 2016. in what year should I calim the 2014 state refund? thanks

If you didn't receive the refund until 2016, you will claim it in 2016 tax return.
