How do I figure how much money I need to take out of pay check to pay state taxes?

State tax filing

Go to your state department of revenue and search for the Tax Withholding form that is unique to your state.

See this TurboTax support FAQ for department of revenue by state - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/state-taxes/help/how-do-i-contact-my-state-department-of-revenue/0...

State tax filing

If you are an employee, your employer has to withhold federal and state taxes from your paychecks.

To allow your employer to withhold the correct amounts, you need to provide them with federal and state forms W-4.

You can use this TurboTax Withholding Calculator.
