Missouri company, only paid tax to Kansas
My company is based out of Missouri but my W2 shows I only paid taxes to the state I live in, Kansas. My question is, does that mean the income I earned from this company is considered to be Kansas or Missouri?

State tax filing
If you did the work in Kansas, it is Kansas income for income tax purposes. The location of the company is not relevant.

State tax filing
The work was done in Missouri. I just found it puzzling that the company only made me pay kansas tax, and when I was on turbo tax doing my taxes earlier it didn’t recognize this income as Missouri income. It was counting it as Kansas income.

State tax filing
TurboTax picks up the state from the address you entered and the W2. You are correct that if you worked in Missouri you should file a Missouri nonresident return.
