State Taxes
I received an email saying my state tax filing was rejected and I needed to complete an amendment. I logged back on, reviewed my filing and nothing needed changed. I submitted it and Turbo Tax stated it was fine. I now get a message saying I can't efile my state return because I made an amendment, although I didn't amend anything. It's also saying I need to print out my "amended" state form and mail it. I download the state form and it's not the "amended" form. I need HELP!

State tax filing
I suspect the IRS pulled your e-file early as one of the test tax returns they do every year to make sure everything is working. The problem with that is that as soon as they accept, the state forms are sent out......but many states may not be accepting ANY e-files yet....thus the rejection. (Never e-file before the 1st of Feb).

Guessing here: So remove your amendment, and try to e-file just the state again sometime in February.

State tax filing
But I am guessing as to what you actually did during that filing process.
There should be no "amend" notice for a rejected e-file...just a notice to correct it (NOT amend it), and resubmit.
So maybe Customer Support is your best next step so that they can work thru what happened in the first place.....Still, don't efile your state for another couple weeks to make sure all their computers are up and running for 2019 submissions.
