I work in MA but live in NH do I need to file state tax returns with both states? We pay a mortgage and town taxes in NH not sure if that makes a difference.

State tax filing
NH does not tax wages, bit they do tax interest and dividends.

State tax filing
You must file a MA part-year/non-resident tax return. NH only taxes dividends and interest, so if you do not have either, you do not need to file any tax information with NH.
