State tax filing
It depends -
If you made all your Uber money in SC, then it is considered SC sourced even if you are a nonresident (of either the state or a nonresident alien for US federal income tax purposes).
If you are a nonresident of the state, then you will file a SC nonresident state income tax return to report this SC sourced income.
According to the SC Department of Revenue, a nonresident individual only needs to file a SC nonresident state income tax return if the gross income taxable to South Carolina is more than the federal personal exemption amount.
If you are a nonresident alien and live in SC, then you would need to file a SC resident state income tax return to report his SC sourced income.
