I put on my 2016 return that I filed 2015 but, I did not. I printed and mailed the 2015 this weekend. How do I correct the 2016 info to remove that I filed my 2015?
I just need to remove the line item on the 2016 return that says I have already filed my return.

After you file
To get back to the section where you can Change your Filing Status:
- Click on the Personal Info Tab
- Under the Personal Info Summary, click on Edit next to your filing status
- Follow the rest of the interview to the end of that section, the question about how you filed last year will be there

After you file
Hold on now. You filed it this weekend, so you did file it. What is there to correct ??
There is no such line item on your tax return.
Besides this is not a particularly important piece of information; it is of interest only if you are itemizing and got a state refund for 2015.
