Yes, the mistake led to a smaller refund. The direct deposit somehow bounced even though the state deposit cleared without issue. I filled out and submitted a 3911 back in September but that proved no results. When I spoke to someone briefly with the IRS, they suggested I fill out a 1040x amended form. Does this sound correct or should I try sending another 3911?
