Does it matter when 1st & 2nd stimulus payments were received (2020 v 2021)? I didnt receive a stimulus during 1st round but received the 2nd in Jan 2021.
Should i answer 'yes' to 'did you get 1st or 2nd stimulus' on 2020 taxes even though payment was received in Jan 2021?
Yes. Enter the 2nd round. The screen even says it was Dec 2020 to Feb 2021. Be sure to enter the correct amount you actually got in the right box. If you didn't get one enter 0 in the box. Then before you file make sure 1040 line 30 is right and only for the amount you didn't get.
