I amended taxes since I had received my previous Child Care Tax form late. Is the new refund number what I am going to get? Tax 1 shows a much higher # what I see now.
Yes. If your amended return (1040X) shows a number in Box 22, that will be the additional refund that you will receive. If instead you owe additional tax as a result of the amended return, that amount will be shown in Box 20.
