How can I review my inputs after filing my returns if I don't want to amend my return?

You may follow these steps to get back into your return, but please DO NOT change anything in an already submitted return. If you need to change anything you will need to fill out an amended return.

Please follow the steps below to view your return.

  1. In TurboTax Online, sign in to your account.
  2. Select Tax Home on the left menu.
  3. Scroll down to Your tax returns & documents.
  4. Select 2019, and then select Add a State (you're not actually adding a state, this just gets you into the right menu).

Thanks for your response, however that did not allow me to view the information I was looking for.  When adding a state your access is limited only to the state return, and I was seeking access to the inputs (questionnaire) for the federal return.  I do not want to change anything, requiring an amended return, I just wanted to look at some of my inputs.

If you want to review the actual data that you entered into TurboTax, you would need to revisit each section of TurboTax:  Here's how:

  1. While in your Tax Home,

  2. Select (Personal Info) or (Wages & Income) or (Deductions & Credits),

  3. Select Review/Edit,

  4. Scroll through each section,

  5. Select Edit next any item you want to review in more detail or that you want to change.

You can also review your entire return by following these instructions:

  1. While in your Tax Home,
  2. Select Tax Tools on the left hand side of your screen,
  3. Select Tools,
  4. Select View Tax Summary,
  5. Select Preview my 1040 on the left hand side of your screen.
