I' still working on my 2019 return.  I've used Turbo Tax for a long time but I had to change computers and lost my 2018 return (I have a hard copy).  I have had to start all over with Turbo Tax 2019.  Now I'd like to put my carryforward IRA basis in the IRA Information Worksheet so Turbo Tax can keep track of my Roth IRA basis and pre-tax contributions to a traditional IRA.  No activity for 2019.  Would also like to add back the  historical data to the Tax History Report if possible

You will need to reintroduce all of the historical data into a 8606, which tracks all of your non deductible contributions. To do that, go to:

  1. tax tools
  2. tools
  3. topic search
  4. type in "8606"
  5. Begin entering all of your Ira contributions up to this point.

There is no way to add back historical data in your return unless you have .tax files stored on your computer from previous years.
