If you didn’t get the approval screen for the refund advance and you haven’t received a denial what does this mean? Some people say they got an approval screen

If you qualify for Refund Advance and are approved for the Turbo Visa Debit Card1, you’ll be notified by email of the approved amount and you’ll be able to start spending online, typically within 48 hours of the IRS accepting your return.

If you weren’t approved, you will receive an email from First Century Bank, N.A. with the reason for denial and contact information if you have additional questions about the decision.

Why would they approve the card and not the advance because I don’t want the card if I’m not getting an advance

The initial approval is just a pre-qualification. If you don't qualify, you'll receive an email confirming you won’t receive a Refund Advance. (please make sure to check your inbox and junk/spam folder) It will include information about why you were not eligible for a Refund Advance. Your federal refund (minus any other agreed upon fees) will be loaded onto a Turbo Visa Debit Card. After you file your return, your refund method cannot be changed. The IRS issues refunds, not TurboTax. This means that we can't say for sure why you haven’t received your refund if it's been longer than 21 days since you e-filed. You'll have to speak directly to IRS to find out more about the delay. For more information please click the link below.
