You have until 4/15/16 to file a 2012 tax return that requests a refund.  After that date, the statute of limitations will allow the IRS to reject any refund.  Be sure to use 2012 forms to prepare this return, whether you use blank IRS forms or use TT for 2012 tax return preparation.  You cannot use this year's versions of TT to file a prior year return.
