Get your taxes done using TurboTax

I have tested this myself and I just retested it again and I am not asked for an EIN for interest in Review or anywhere else except the import screen.

Maybe you have an incomplete entry that you tried to import.

Try this:

  1. Select Tools.
  2. Click on Delete a form (third on the list at the bottom of the screen).
  3. Find Form 1099-INT on the list of forms.
  4. Click Delete to the right.
  5. Confirm your Delete.
  6. Check to see if there are other 1099-INT on the list. Repeat 3, 4 and 5 until all 1099-INT are gone.
  7. Click Continue in the lower right.
  8. If you have a state return check for the same forms under your return and delete them if you find them.
  9. Click Continue with my return.
  10. Run your Federal Review to make sure this error is gone.
  11. Open your return and select Federal on the left side menu.
  12. Select Wages and Income toward the upper left.
  13. Scroll down, or expand the list and find Interest and Dividends.
  14. Expand that section and find Interest on 1099-INT.
  15. Click on Add/ Edit to the right.
  16. Select, I'll type it in myself, and click Continue.
  17. For Received from, enter the name of the investment or the company.
  18. Enter the amount and click continue.
  19. Answer the next question No.
