Get your taxes done using TurboTax
I have tested this myself and I just retested it again and I am not asked for an EIN for interest in Review or anywhere else except the import screen.
Maybe you have an incomplete entry that you tried to import.
Try this:
- Select Tools.
- Click on Delete a form (third on the list at the bottom of the screen).
- Find Form 1099-INT on the list of forms.
- Click Delete to the right.
- Confirm your Delete.
- Check to see if there are other 1099-INT on the list. Repeat 3, 4 and 5 until all 1099-INT are gone.
- Click Continue in the lower right.
- If you have a state return check for the same forms under your return and delete them if you find them.
- Click Continue with my return.
- Run your Federal Review to make sure this error is gone.
- Open your return and select Federal on the left side menu.
- Select Wages and Income toward the upper left.
- Scroll down, or expand the list and find Interest and Dividends.
- Expand that section and find Interest on 1099-INT.
- Click on Add/ Edit to the right.
- Select, I'll type it in myself, and click Continue.
- For Received from, enter the name of the investment or the company.
- Enter the amount and click continue.
- Answer the next question No.
