Is there anything that can be done regarding the adjusted tax refund on those of us that received unemployment benefits? I've been waiting to receive the adjusted refund.

I filed my tax return before they included the income tax break, but TurboTax suggested not to amend and just wait.

Get your taxes done using TurboTax

Do not amend your tax return.

TurboTax receives no information whatsoever concerning the tax refund for the unemployment compensation exclusion from the IRS.

If you filed your tax return with unemployment compensation entered and it was filed before the exclusion was effective,  the IRS is calculating the tax refund for the exclusion which is a separate tax refund.

The IRS started sending refunds in May for those that were eligible based on the unemployment compensation exclusion.  The IRS will continue sending refunds in batches for the next several months.
