TurboTax, will the processing error that delayed some stimulus payments affect the third? And are you proactively working with the IRS to correct it?

TurboTax has nothing to do with the stimulus.   The IRS sends the stimulus.

 In some cases, the IRS sent checks to temporary accounts created by tax-prep services such as H&R Block, TurboTax and Jackson Hewitt, which are typically used for the depositing of tax refunds. But those accounts, set up for last year’s refunds, aren’t currently valid, leading to delays in delivering the money.

That was Santa Barbara bank and not TurboTax.   Santa Barbara Bank sent the IRS a database with all the temporary account numbers cross referenced to the real account number, and the IRS sent out the payment using the wrong database.

The email came from Turbo Tax, it read as follows;

Dear Valued TurboTax Customer,
Great news, your stimulus payment is on the way!
 We are happy to share that stimulus payments will begin to be deposited starting January 8th. We expect most payments to be available that day, but your bank could take a few business days to process. Your payment will be deposited into the same bank account that you received your 2019 tax refund.
 We have been working tirelessly with the Treasury and IRS to get your stimulus payment to you. We know how important these funds are for so many Americans and we regret that an IRS error caused a delay in you receiving your stimulus payment.

Thank you again for being a TurboTax customer.

My questions,  is TurboTax being proactive to assure that the delay doesn't occur again?
