If you select to have your payment taken out of your refund, then you won't be able to select to have a refund check. You would need to change your payment option to paying with a credit card. Doing so will allow you to select to have a refund check if you wish to.

*IF you wish to change your payment option, consider the following:

• Log in to your online account, and then click on the Take Me to My Return
• Click on the File tab at the end and then click on Start (or Revisit) next to Step 1.
• You should see View Payment Options at the bottom. Click on this
• Here you'll be able to click Pay by Card and avoid the extra fee
• After entering in your information, click Continue to get back to the File tab main screen
  
• Click Revisit/Start next to Step 2 to change how to receive your refund by check
