My husband did not have an income in 2018. He has a K-1 form but did not get any money from this partnership. Can I claim him as a dependent?
We have a rental property, I am a graduate student and our income all included is less than $55000. My husband did not have any income this year. Nevertheless, he has a K-1 form.
1. Is it worth filing separatly?
2. Can I claim him a my dependent?

No. A married person can never be claimed as a dependent. You still file a joint return. It flat out does not matter that only one of you had income in 2018.
