Hello, I am submitting our 2019 taxes tonight and was under the impression we had until July 15th to submit without a penalty. On my tax return is shows a penalty due.

This is probably an underpayment penalty, not a late filing penalty. You do have until the 15th to file.

I have not paid them yet and was submitting my return when I saw the late fee penalty.
