The answer you may not like. Your Parents can claim you as a dependent only if you qualify as a dependent, and since they filed that way then they will receive a check reflecting that. Dependents add $500 dollars to them and it will be up to them if they give it to you. Your 2020 situation is for next year Tax filing. Please talk with your parents and if needed you both may need to file an amended return which will delay any payments.
