I'm working on a 2014 tax and have the TT 2014 Premier disk. It doesn't seem to come with 1 state which I need. Any way to get the state to work with this program?

Sorry 2014 is too old. They only sell and support the last 3 years back to 2016. So you can't update the program or download any state programs. If you use it your return might not be right.
And yes you get a free state download with Deluxe and above. At least for supported years.

jennb3811,
The short answer is more information is needed. For example, what state? And are you wanting to amend a prior return or snarf a forgotten refund?
In any event, should the answer turn out no or too cumbersome or expensive, it is usually quite easy to fill out a state return on paper yourself as it involves copying information already on your federal return, sometimes adding or subtracting an item, then looking up the state tax table, signing, copying and mailing the return to the state using certified US mail.

No. There are no updates or support available for 2014 software now. Maybe you could download the past year paper form from the state's tax website to prepare a state return for 2014.
The federal return you are trying to prepare is unlikely to be accurate since you cannot update the software. And it is too late to get a 2014 refund. If you owe, the IRS does want to be paid.

if you owe, you should file. if your due a refund forget it. the IRS and most sates no longer make refunds for returns prior to 2016. the exception would be certain carrybacks like NOL's or Foreign tax credits.
