Get your taxes done using TurboTax

If you have not filed yet, then go back through the interview to file your return.  When you get to the screen where it asks how do you want your refund, you can change it there.

If you already filed your return you will have to wait until you get the status of your return (accepted or rejected). The IRS is not accepting returns until January 23rd.

If it gets accepted you will not be able to change it, if your banking information is wrong, then your refund will automatically be switched to receiving a check once your bank rejects the direct deposit.

If your return gets rejected, you can change your refund option, and the re-e-file

If the banking information is from transferring your prior year information and you cannot change your banking information, see the following FAQ from TurboTax

Why am I not able to change my imported direct deposit information?

If you transferred in information from your 2015 tax return, you may be shown the same bank information that was used last year to have your refund direct deposited.

Workaround

If you want to change or edit the banking information that is shown, make sure that the box stating "I want my refund deposited into this account" is unchecked.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and select Continue.

You will be taken to a new screen titled, "Let's get your bank account info".

This will allow you to enter the new or updated banking information that is to be used for your 2016 direct deposit.
