Since you chose to pay the TurboTax fee out of your Federal refund, there is a 34.99 service fee for that refund processing option.
You can remove that choice prior to filing and then
pay the TurboTax fee upfront with credit card, debit card, or prepaid
debit card you can buy in a store. Once removed, it should no longer charge you that 34.99. The method depends on your location. Here's how:
