Converted home to rental. Made all these improvements beforehand. Can I depreciate total amount paid on these on taxes over 27.5 years or do I need an appraisal to assess the value added to depreciate?
1. broken shower pan, tore out tile, new shower pan, re-tiled
2. new flooring
3. took down beam for open concept
4. granite counters
