Income or combined incomes (Form W-2) below $50,000"

If you don't fall within those guidelines you will have to file either Form 1040A or Form 1040.

Form 1040A:

"Income or combined incomes below $50,000
Capital gain distributions, but no other capital gains or losses
Only IRA or student loan adjustments to your income
You do NOT itemize deductions"

If you can't file either of these Forms, you must file Form 1040.
