If you received income in California you will need to file a CA nonresident state return reporting this income and tax withholdings. In TurboTax you should prepare your CA nonresident return first and then prepare your SC resident return. That way, when your SC is prepared, the software will be able to calculate the credit on your SC return for the tax you pay for California.
