It is possible you selected Plus, Max, or some bundle in order to have prior year information roll into this year or to gain access to prior year information. or you selected the bundle and know of that fee, and then choose the refund processing service to pay for the bundle and the 3rd party charges the 39.99 refund processing fee. IF that is the case it is cheaper to pay by credit card and avoid the processing fee.
