Do I need to fill out a form 4835?
I share Kansas farm rental income with 2 siblings and receive a 1099-MISC. I'm a resident of Maryland and do not participate with the farming. I pay tax every year. Do I need a Form 4835?

Get your taxes done using TurboTax
If you receive rental income (even from a farm) and it's reported on a 1099-MISC, box 1 you enter this income in Rental Property and Royalties (schedule E). Form 4835 is only used when you receive a share of the crop as rental income (known as share crop rental income), not a cash rental.
