How come clicking on the DETAILS hotlink in the desktop software merely takes you to the TTax home page -
AND - it totally re-sizes my browser window into a portrait mode
AND - how to tell which update I have installed...
see nothing about R25 in the --> Help --> About Quicken --> Version
AND - why does it NOT find the updates upon startup,
but does find them via the --> Online --> Check For Updates

To verify that you have the latest version of the software, click on Help.  Click on About TurboTax (your edition 2018).  Click on the Version Tab.  Compare your version to the version shown in this TurboTax support FAQ - <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1899272-verify-turbotax-2018-for-windows-basic-deluxe-premier-or-h...>

To have the program check for updates on start-up, click on Online.  Click on Updater Preferences.  Click on Automatically Download Updates.

Details - ok
Version - ok - still is weird to have text of Rxx -
but not list the versions anywhere in the details
Updater - weird - it must have been turned OFF somehow, as it was always ON

TurboTax has removed release notes for the TurboTax software effective for tax year 2019.  They will be removing the More details link in the Updater window later during the 2019 tax season.

No Details: that stinks! Additionally, the Intuit TTax development team needs a lesson: don't leave mis-leading links in your software!! It looks like you haven't tested the software you distributed.

The link you provide is essentially dead.  It does to a page that says only  "TurboTax Support has moved".

It is now the 2oth of February 2020 and this is still NOT FIXED.

I agree. It is now almost mid-March, meaning a month to the deadline. Why do an update if it goes into a black box!

You can verify to see if you have the latest updates. TurboTax Updates 2019 - - Community

If it is a lower version then update it by following the instructions below.
